Discord integration
Post every form submission to a Discord channel as an embed. Bot permissions, which channels show up, and what each embed contains.
The Discord integration posts each new submission as an embed in the channel you pick. Ikiform joins your server as a bot, and each form can post to its own channel.
Connect Discord
- In the dashboard, open Integrations in the sidebar.
- Open Discord and choose Connect Discord.
- Pick a server and approve the Ikiform bot in Discord. You need permission to manage that server.
You can also start from a form: adding Discord to a form that has no connection yet runs the same flow and brings you back to the form. One connection serves every form in the Ikiform workspace. See Connect an app.
Permissions
Adding the bot asks a server admin to grant four permissions:

Which channels show up
The channel list shows the text and announcement channels where the bot can view the channel, send messages and embed links, grouped by category. Private channels are marked with a lock. If a channel is missing, give the Ikiform role those permissions in the channel's settings, then reopen the list.
The message
- Each submission is one embed titled New submission to and the form name, linked to the submission in Ikiform, with the submission time.
- Each field is a field of the embed. Labels come from the field names, so
first_namebecomes First name. Up to 25 fields fit; with more, the footer says how many more are in Ikiform. - Mentions are turned off, so
@everyone, user and role mentions in submitted text never ping anyone. Markdown in submitted text is shown as typed.
When it stops posting
- If the bot was removed from the server, the card says Needs reconnecting. Choose Reconnect.
- If the channel was deleted or the bot lost access to it, choose Choose another channel.
Disconnect
Open Discord under Integrations and choose Disconnect on the connection. The Ikiform bot leaves your server, and every form that used it stops posting there.
